Namaste Rakesh ji 🙏 Sharma General Store se message kar rahe hain. Aapka ₹1,250 ka hisaab baaki hai. Koi jaldi nahi — jab aapko suvidha ho, de dijiyega. Aap jaise purane customer se hi dukaan chalti hai. Dhanyavaad! 🙏

Private by design

Names, amounts and numbers stay in your browser. Nothing is saved, sent to a server, or seen by us.

Three steps. Zero awkwardness.

01

Add the khata details

Customer's name, the amount pending, and since when. That's all the tool needs — and none of it leaves your browser.

02

Pick tone & language

Narm, dostana, seedha or tyohar — in Hinglish, Hindi or English. Add your UPI ID and the message includes a pay-now line.

03

Copy or send on WhatsApp

Edit any word you like, then copy it — or add the customer's number and open the chat with the message ready to send.

Ask soft first. Step up slowly.

The shopkeepers who recover the most udhaar don’t send one angry message — they climb a ladder. Same khata, same respect, a little firmer each week.

Step 1 · First ask

Narm

Soft and unhurried — “jab aapko suvidha ho.” Most khatas clear right here, because the customer simply forgot.

Step 2 · A week later

Dostana

Warm and casual — tie it to their next visit. It reads like a friend's nudge, not a notice.

Step 3 · Two weeks+

Seedha

Still respectful, but now with a timeframe and a reason — “is hafte mein, mahine ka hisaab band karna hai.”

Step 4 · Festival time

Tyohar

The culturally perfect reset: good wishes first, then “naye saal ki shuruaat naye hisaab se.” Old dues clear best before Diwali.

Good to know.

How do I ask for udhaar back without spoiling the relationship?

Lead with respect, state the amount once, and give an easy way to pay. Never accuse, never use all-caps, and always leave the door open for their next visit. Every template in this tool follows those rules — start with the Narm (gentle) tone, and only step up if a polite ask goes unanswered.

Which language should I send the reminder in?

The language you'd use across the counter. If you chat with the customer in Hindi, send Hindi; if your market mixes Hindi and English, Hinglish reads most natural. The tool writes all three so you can compare before sending.

When is the best time to send a payment reminder?

Early evening (6–8 pm) works well — the day's work is done and people check WhatsApp. Month-start is better than month-end, since salaries and household budgets are fresh. And the weeks before a big festival are the single best time of year to clear old khatas.

What does the UPI ID line do?

If you add your UPI ID (like shopname@upi), the message includes a “pay instantly via UPI” line. The customer can clear the khata the moment they read the reminder, instead of waiting for their next visit.

Is my customer's data stored anywhere?

No. Names, amounts and phone numbers are processed entirely in your browser to build the message and the wa.me link. Nothing is saved, sent to a server, or visible to HeyHomie.

What if the customer still doesn't pay?

Move one step up the tone ladder each week — narm, then dostana, then seedha — and always send from the same number so the thread shows the history. For khatas you track every day, a system that remembers who owes what and reminds them automatically works better than memory. That's what HeyHomie is built for.

This tool writes one message.
HeyHomie remembers every khata.

Who owes what, since when, who’s gone quiet — and the reminder that goes out politely, automatically, at the right time. Plus the catalogue and payments that bring the same customer back to buy again. Paisa bhi, customer bhi.
